Inspired by these words of wisdom, the Commission on Social Action, the URJ Pacific Southwest Council and the Striking Sparks & Raising Ruach for 20s/30s program of the URJ-CCAR Commission on Outreach & Synagogue Community teamed up to create an amazing experience – an intensive week of social action, study and worship. Together we built a community of faith and created a Jewish religious living experience.

Orange County, California
August 15 – 21, 2004

Open to members of Reform congregations, participants spent the week of August 15-21, 2004 building a home in Orange County California in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Each work day began with worship and ended with study. Local Reform congregations supported the project by providing meals, volunteers and Shabbat worship.
