Union for Reform Judaism / Development
Development
The Union's Development Department raises funds to further enable the Union to meet the growing needs of our member congregations. We do this through an active annual campaign effort, the Fund for Reform Judaism, comprehensive capital/endowment campaign efforts on behalf of the Union's Camp Institutes and Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, and an on-going planned giving program to increase the corpus of the Union for Reform Judaism Endowment.

To members of our Reform congregations:

As you know, Congress recently approved the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. Although its primary purpose was to protect our financial system, there is an important provision that encourages additional charitable giving. In 2008 and 2009 it will be possible to make a gift from your IRA directly to a charitable organization. If you are in a position to benefit from this new law, we encourage you to consider making this special year-end gift. Read more.
